Anne Marie Schaar (nee Boehnlein), passed away October 7, 2017 at the age of 34, after an inspiring and courageous fight against Colon Cancer.

Anne touched the lives of so many people with her passionate soul and her humorous spirit. She had many loves in her life, outside of her family and friends. She loved nature, photography, writing, singing, painting, and crafting, and these interests also brought her comfort during challenging times.

Anne was also an advocate for Colon Cancer Awareness. Her Stage IV diagnosis in July of 2015 was a shock to all, but she used her experiences to inform and educate people of the disease, especially younger people. While battling cancer, Anne inspired many with her positive attitude and outlook, despite many setbacks.

Anne will be missed by the many people she touched in her life. She leaves behind her husband John J., son Tyler, parents Gary and Arlene Boehnlein, sisters Tina (Daniel) Jett, Jennifer Boehnlein (Wilbert Jett), Eva (Jose) Rodriguez, and brother John (Stephanie) Boehnlein, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at Schuster Straker O’Connor Funeral Home, 5904 Ridge Rd., Parma, from 1-3pm and 6-8pm, with a remembrance ceremony at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Fight CRC organization,
